Improper application is the main reason. For new volume lashes, practice on perfecting 2d-3d fans. Practice the basic level with placement and achieve the retention before you move on to the next level.

It’s not about how many mega fans you can get on each lash. It is about how many fans that will be placed perfectly on each fan. 
This is the first mistake lash artists always make. The struggle that is very hard to break them away from
The handmade pinch with too much adhesive and the base is twisted. This lash cannot wrap correctly to the NL.
Adhesive should be dipped 1mm deep. As you place the extensions down, it will spread to about 2mm 
This pinching is a heavy pincher.
To pinch: tap very lightly
Adding extensions that are too long, these will cause stress to the NL and the extension will never last.
